Hak Kim and his team did a great job with our house. The entire experience was positive, from the time Hak came to make an estimate to the completion of the job. Hak Kim was a breath of fresh air after dealing with various unreliable vendors. He showed up when he said he would; he was very competent and professional; he would return calls asap [sic]; his work and workers were excellent and his prices very fair. We plan on using him again for our next painting project.

The Painter Friend was referred to us through a realtor. As a Construction Project Manager, it's key that sub-contractors are professional, timely, on budget and easy to work with. Hak was very helpful and honest in color selection and areas to paint. They did a great job painting, and with wallpaper removal. He and his staff are personable yet professional. Finished everything in a timely manner, and for a very reasonable price.

The painters did a great job, and were done early. They went above and beyond and installed some lights for me and patched up some drywall too. I am very happy with the work and the price. I would absolutely call again.

The owner, Hak, is extremely personable and professional. The quality of the work far exceeded my expectations for the job. His rates are extremely competitive. Finally, he was very quick and very clean. I would highly recommend his business and will certainly use him again for any future paint jobs.

I found Hak off of Craigslist, after checking out his references, which were stellar, I hired him to paint one of my rental properties. He did an awesome job above and beyond what I expected for a very aggressive price! I'd hire him again no questions asked. In addition, Hak (the owner) is super nice and super professional.

Letter of Recommendation for Painter Friend, Hak Kim
In October 2007, we hired Hak Kim to paint the outside of our home in Mountain View. We were very pleased with the work that Hak’s crew did and in doing business with him in general.
My husband is very particular and it is difficult to find someone who meets his standards in prep work and in attention to detail. I am very particular about finding someone to work with who communicates on a consistent and pleasant level. We could not have been more pleased in all aspects.
Hak was quickly responsive to any emails [sic] or phone calls. He was flexible in setting appointments to meet our schedules and arrived for them on time and as planned.
He was patient in answering all our questions and in noting all areas of concern that we had as we walked around the outside of our home and in explaining his plans for addressing the issues. Beyond that, he was very patient with us as we seemingly took forever to choose the colors for our home.
Once the job started, Hak’s crew did a very thorough job of preparing the surfaces, priming and repairing every area that we knew of and some we’d never noticed. They arrived when they said they would, left the area clean each day and finished the job as scheduled.
In their zealousness to make sure that every area was painted properly, one plant in our
yard was inadvertently damaged, but the painted area looked so nice, that we were not
bothered. But much to our surprise, we received a personal note of apology from Hak, who
went above and beyond any of our expectations.
Our house looks great, and we feel as though we have found a treasure in our painter
friend, and just wish we had another house for him to paint.

Exceptional service and job

I've had a very pleasant experience dealing with Hak and his team. Not only did he do a great job but he also helped me pick out the right colors for accent walls. He gave us a good price and completed the job on time. He was always reachable and very professional in his work. I'm dealing with a lot of contractors right now, and one doesn't come across professional people like Hak very often. If anyone is looking for a painter, I'd say hire Hak without giving it a second thought, he's the best!

Painter Friend did a very good job before and after my home painting work. Mr. Kim inspected my house first and pointed out servearl areas what might need to be repaired before the painting. They did a power wash of the house so no dirt would be painted over. They also helped me removed those unused DirectTV cables all over the house eves which were installed by the previous owner. After the work, I pointed out some areas that needed to be touched up and they did it right away. The entire work was completed ahead of schedule. Thank you very much!

Hak was on time, provided excellent service and pointed out areas of our home that had water damage that needed repair. Hak contacted and coordinated with a carpenter who made the necessary repairs so the paint job could continue. The workmanship and price was excellent. I would hire Hak again with out hesitation!! In fact he power washed a mobile home, painted a deck and stairs for a relative of mine while waiting for the carpenters to finish the repairs on my home!!! Very professional and all promises kept!!!

Painter Friend is a very Professional, Reliable, and Excellent company. We recommend then to anyone. They showed up on time every day. They walked me through the process of what needed to be done. There was water damage found and Mr. Kim worked with a contractor to make sure that it was repaired. All of the employees were friendly and courteous. It was such a great experience. We had over 7 quotes done and Painter Friend was the only one who was honest, on time, professional, reliable, and reasonable. We are a large corner house and my house looks fantastic. I have neighbors stopping to knock on our front door to tell us how wonderful the house looks and they want to know who painted it. We would hire Painter Friend again in an instant.

I reviewed several contractors' bids before i chose Hak, who is referred to me by my real estate agent, and I'm so glad about my decision. Hak was on-time, friendly, detail-oriented, professional, and did an excellent job painting our new home in 4 different colors, and his price is fair. I was especially grateful for what happened a few days later when i called him for help after his work was done. I had someone come to install custom closets and realized that the wall was going to look ugly after the baseboard and original hanging shelves were taken off. I called Hak in hope that he'd send over one of his works to touch up the walls. But he couldn't send anyone over until later that day, and i needed someone right away, before the closets were installed. Hak came over by himself very quickly, painted the walls for me and didn't charge me a cent. I'll definitely refer Hak to any friend who needs a painter and will sure use him in the future for any of my painting job.

I certainly recommend using Painter Friend for any painting job. They did an excellent job painting my kitchen cabinets at a very reasonable price. I will definitely use Painter Friend again when I have another paint job in the future.
